Capitalizing on Nomad’s 2012 inaugural popularity, Nomad is releasing two new sizes to kick off 2013.
First off is a 6×51 Perfecto named the Fugitive II. The name is in honor of the original Fugitive LE that really put Nomad on the map in 2012.
With a slight taper on both ends, the Fugitive II is comprised of the same tobacco as the original Fugitive (with some slight percentage variances).
The other new size is a traditional 5 x 50 Robusto called the “Rambler.”
The Rambler was created at the request of many cigar smokers seeking a smaller ring gauge. Although, to some, a 50-ring gauge may not be small, Nomad did not have one – so the addition made a perfect fit.
The addition of the Fugitive II and Rambler brings Nomad’s core line to seven vitolas:
- Drifter – 6 x 60
- Renegade – 5 1/2 x 54 Robusto Gordo
- Vagabond – 4 5/8 x 54 Figurado
- Navigator – 6 x 52 Torpedo
- Fugitive LE – 5 7/8 x 64 Figurado
- Fugitive II – 6 x 51 Perfecto
- Rambler – 5 x 50 Robusto
All of the cigars in Nomad’s inaugural line focus on being a classic, high quality, Dominican Cigar with an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper.
Fred Rewey, founder of the Nomad Cigar Company, was the first cigar company to place a twitter name on the actual cigar band (@Godfadr) and has taken his passion to market with candid and open conversations direct with cigar consumers (both online and off).
The growth of Nomad was only amplified by entering into a distribution agreement with Emilio Cigars earlier in the year.
Look for the new releases soon as well as a significant presence at IPCPR this year.
The new sizes will begin shipping February 2013.
